Playworks Team Building Facilitator Roster
Geoffrey Nuval, founder of Playworks & Chief Facilitator, has spoken and presented at numerous conferences in the Philippines and the U.S. on the topics of entrepreneurship in the workplace, marketing in a socially networked world, and the influence of game mechanics and rewards programs on user behavior.
He returned to the Philippines after spending over a decade in the United States. While abroad, he attained a BS in Management Science & Engineering with Honors from Stanford University and initiated a course in Entrepreneurship at the Oxford University's Said Business School in the United Kingdom.
After graduation, he spent some time in Silicon Valley investing in Internet startups for the former Lehman Brothers and then went on to found and become CEO of Devhub.com in Seattle and Privacy Central in Los Angeles.
It was during this time Mr. Nuval became an early pioneer and expert on gamification, the application of real game mechanics – such as points, levels, ranking, and rewards – to improve or influence people’s behavior.
In an effort to contribute to the growth and improvement of the Philippine workforce, Mr. Nuval formed PlayWorks here in the Philippines, a team building company based upon the principles of gamification.

Nikki Aguila, Strategic Partnerships Manager and Facilitator, is a loyal, team-spirited individual who is able to gain confidence of people. Adept at bringing people to strive for a common purpose, she has organized numerous successful team building and group seminar events for some of the largest companies in the Philippines. She also conducts seminars on corporate sales.
Nikki has prior corporate experience in sales and product marketing for Fujitsu, selling multi-million dollar projects to the country’s leading telecoms such as PLDT and Smart Communications.
She holds a BS in Electronics & Communications Engineering from De La Salle University.
Rix Hernandez, Facilitator & Marketing Manager, has over 12 years of experience as a Breakthrough Transformation Life Coach, and wellness consultant. In the corporate world, she is a Team Building Facilitator, Genos International Certified Emotional Intelligence Trainer, Keynote Speaker, and DISC Certified Trainer. Aside from her marketing skills, she helps companies create not just happier employees, but also transformed minds with a refreshed sense of purpose and clarity by combining playfulness with the processing of important company values through deep, engaging conversations. She has facilitated virtual and face-to-face team-building events for over 200 corporate companies to date.
Ms. Hernandez holds a degree in Visual Communications from UP Diliman.
Pat Romano, RPm, MAED GC, Facilitator,is a skilled facilitator specializing in character development, mindfulness, and self-awareness. As an experienced Guidance Advocate, he focuses on leadership training, team building, mental health, and resilience. His work empowers individuals and teams to develop emotional intelligence, foster strong connections, and navigate challenges with confidence.
Mr. Patrick holds a License in Psycometrics with BS Major in Psychology at Letran Manila and MAED in Guidance and Counseling at St. Paul University Manila.
John Alvin Jiao, Facilitator & HR,brings a wealth of expertise in Learning Engagement and Development Processes, Training Needs Analysis, and Organizational Development. With a strong background as a Human Resources Trainer and Recruiter, he has successfully guided individuals and teams toward professional growth and excellence.
Alvin specializes in designing and delivering impactful, inspirational team-building experiences. His ability to resolve organizational conflicts, foster collaboration, and revitalize team confidence makes him an invaluable asset in any workplace. Through his strategic approach, he empowers teams to reach their full potential and thrive in dynamic environments.
Mr. Alvin holds a BA Major in Psychology Arts in De La Salle University Dasmarinas.
JJ Calimlim, Facilitator & Operations Manager, is a quick-witted thinker with a knack for energizing any crowd. With her engaging and interactive team-building style, she creates dynamic experiences that bring out the best in large teams. Her approach balances fun and productivity, ensuring that team members feel motivated and connected while still aligning with the company’s key objectives. Through her leadership, organizations can unlock their teams’ full potential in an environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and lasting impact.
She is a customer service and communications industry veteran with sharp organization skills and a strong ability to train groups from a variety of backgrounds. JJ has experience in hosting events, online content, webinars and team buildings as part of the new norm.
Ms. JJ holds a BA in Communications Arts in St Paul University Manila.
